The Shared Rural Network (SRN) is a good example of a successful initiative that industry has stepped up and is delivering on. The SRN is a £1 billion deal between Government and the mobile operators to bring 4G coverage to 95% of the UK landmass by 2025, including by working to end total not-spots. The four mobile networks are investing a combined £532 million, but the scheme has benefitted hugely from Government backing and equal investment.”
